VANESSA

Owner & Creative Director

As owner and overall boss lady of VNE, Vanessa wears a lot of hats, but her favorite is the one she dons when she first sits down with a couple for the discovery process. Getting to know a couple and dreaming up creative ways to infuse their personalities into their special day is the most inspiring part of designing with clients. Whether the design is energetic and filled with vibrant color and pattern or features a muted palette of layered texture, she draws inspiration from nature, textiles, travel, and building materials (big lover of Home Depot over here!) to create a “couple-centric” day. Her favorite feedback is when her couples say “this feels so much like US"!”

Her wardrobe consists of more sequins, color, and floral print than anyone she knows. Favorite things include elaborate skincare routines, wine tasting, traveling everywhere always, hot yoga, Taco Bell (it’s called balance), her dinosaur-obsessed niece, karaoke bars, the LA Dodgers and the spiciest margarita she can find.

TRESSA

EVENT MANAGER

With nearly fifteen years of domestic and international event experience and a Bachelor's in Ag Business from CalPoly SLO, Tressa is our go-to logistical mastermind. She's resourceful, personable, tech savvy, and lightning quick on her feet--especially in "make it work" moments and witty banter! With a farmer's daughter soul and a sommelier palette, Tressa's magnetic personality doesn't know a stranger and she's equally at home in a Michelin starred restaurant as she is at a dive bar…this is why we’re friends, not just colleagues!

LUKE

Coordination assistant & Stylist

You know when you meet someone who's young and really just beginning to come into their own? And you think "Wow. You have a whole bunch of life ahead of you and you're already this good?!" Yeah. That's Luke. 

Currently studying hospitality at CalPoly SLO, Luke is well on his way to total event empire status. He's smart, etiquette-wise, fashion-forward and has experience in every facet of the event industry from catering to corporate planning. Luke is a superstar as a day-of assistant and has the hefty job of managing decor details and styles so many of the pretty pieces that make each wedding unique and Insta-worthy.
